About

The Full Story

I work with my client's own motivation for change, looking forward to solutions, rather than backward for reasons (although this may sometimes be a necessary part of the process,) and to find creative solutions to blocks and 'stones in the road' so the people I work with can fly further and do more to find balance in their lives.

Having a certificate in Hypnotherapy and counseling, and a diploma in hypnotherapy and Neuro-linguistic programming, I use 1-1 therapy and coaching to help clients reach their goals. I am a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner, a Reiki practitioner and I've learned lots of other awesome tools along the way, which I love to share with clients.

With a background in teaching, school improvement, behaviour management and inclusion, and delivering fabulously fun and fantastic adult training packages, I found myself mother to '3 under 3' and having my eldest diagnosed with Autism. It's little wonder that I bailed from the Local Authority 24/7 life of teaching and training and started to forge my own path.

12 years later, and the '3 under 3' are now ‘3 teens’. During this time, I’ve had two main focuses to my work. As well as my private therapy practice, I work with parents-especially parents with children with disabilities, autism, or ADHD.  I've run parent classes for a local charity, written and delivered training for professionals working with disabled children and their families, trained the staff of Eureka! Children's Museum in disability awareness and supporting disabled visitors. I’ve also written and delivered the popular 'Insider's Guide' parent support courses for a local charity, Unique Ways, for many years.

I am experienced in using my mix of therapies to support people with learning disabilities and autism to live happy, healthy lives.
